Friday Night:

Duke's UES: When you’re looking to make solid Friday night plans, look no further than Duke’s on the Upper East Side! Every Friday night from 10pm to 2am, get ready to sing your heart out to your favorite songs at their epic karaoke night! Whether you’re a pro or this is your first time singing outside the shower, grab your friends, the mic, and belt it out! It doesn’t matter if you come to Duke’s for dinner and stay for the show, or stop in late to join in on some karaoke fun because they’ve got you completely covered! When you’re not singing, be your own bartender and pour your own glass of beer at New York City’s first electronic beer wall. Sample a few brews, grab your glass, and pour your own drinks all night! You can also enjoy one of the Duke’s famous mason jar drinks, always topped off with colorful beads and gummies! The Boozy Bears and Jell-O syringes are also a must-have! Better yet, spin the shot wheel to win a free shot for you and your crew. Chow down on some fan favorites like their amazing mozzarella sticks, buffalo chicken mac and cheese, loaded nachos, and their award winning wings to really enhance your night!

Hudson Eats: Hudson Eats, an upscale food hall at Brookfield Place, features fast-casual concepts from top chefs including Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar, Umami Burger, and Dos Toros Taqueria (to name a few!). The space is very open and expansive with seating for up to 600 people with great views of the Hudson River. Hudson Eats feels different then other similar food halls due to its modern feel, high ceilings, and floor to ceiling windows that let you look out at the Statue of Liberty. All of the food options are great, but one of our recent favorites is Tartinery, which offers a concept created around the French Tartine, an open-faced sandwich. The creamy burrata tartine was especially delicious with sourdough bread, roasted peppers, thyme, and olive oil. We also really enjoyed the butternut squash soup, which you may know is one of our ultimate go-tos! Don’t forget to get dessert at the beloved Sprinkles Cupcakes; their classic, yet perfect red velvet cupcakes will surely sweeten up your afternoon. They even have dog friendly cupcakes (Shout out to @simonsays_wooof, who really enjoyed these! Yes, you can bring your dog inside Brookfield Place). What’s even more exciting is that you can customize your cupcake box to say anything you want, making this the perfect birthday or party gift!

Saturday Night:

Le District: Le District is to French food, as Eataly is to Italian food. Le District (about a 2-minute walk from Hudson Eats) is the perfect destination to continue your night without going far! Le District has options to eat both indoors and outdoors, a full bar, a food market, and more! Don’t worry, we're not just sending you to another food market, we’re actually sending you to the Arctic! Attached to Le District, but located outside, you’ll find cozy igloo setups waiting for you. These giant clear bubbles, called Le Igloos, are super easy to reserve for free by using the Resy app. Once you book one, you can order some special cocktails including the Pomme au Noyer, a hot toddy made with apple cider, Jameson, Calvados, walnut, orange, and cloves, or the Vixen Pear Cider. The igloos come with cocktail tables, heaters, and comfy seating that hold up to 10 people each! They’re located on the terrace right outside Le Bar, and reservations are available every day until the start of April.

Whitnee Shulman Photography: We live in an age where social media is ingrained into how we experience most moments (we are so guilty of this!) and yet pictures are created and consumed quickly and in low quality. Don’t you just wish you had a professional photographer following you around? Whether it’s headshots, dating profile pictures, family photos, birthdays, anniversaries, holiday pictures, or dinner parties, Whitnee Shulman can capture the pure essence and emotions of a moment. Whitnee’s passion for photography comes from her love of connecting with people, experiencing new adventures, and capturing important moments in time in order to relive life's most special memories. One of her most popular requests has been the “perfect dating site picture”. Are you on a dating site and having trouble finding current high quality pictures that aren't selfies or overly filtered? Get 2 or 3 friends together and Whitnee will take high quality professional photos of you and your friends both together and individually. Over the course of 2 hours, she can shoot you at multiple locations. Don't worry about having the same outfit in all of your pictures; bring an extra change of clothes and you’ll have all the photos you need. You'll likely end up with a professional headshot too, which can’t hurt your LinkedIn page! Contact Whitnee at for more information on photography services and packages, but don't forget to mention @yourweekendplans to get a special discount!

Tiki Tabu: What better way to end your Sunday (and photo shoot!) with stunning views of the Lower East Side and the Empire State Building! Tiki Tabu, a covered rooftop bar located inside the SIXTY hotels, was reconcepted this year to feature nautical elements and give off major tropical vibes from the moment you walk in. From the tropical plants, to nets draped from the ceiling, we were really feeling the environment. The best part is that on Sundays from 5pm until closing you can enjoy $5 beer, $8 wine, and $8 cocktails for their weekend happy hour deal. Take one last photo with the gorgeous 7th floor view behind you, then indulge in a frozen fruity drink of your choosing!
