May 17-20

Hi Everyone! Hope you have a great weekend full of @yourweekendplansactivities! We will not be sending out a newsletter next week due to the Memorial Day holiday. Enjoy the long weekend and follow us along on Instagram until we return Thursday, May 31st

Friday Night:

Treadwell Park:Treadwell Park, located on the Upper East Side, should be your go-to happy hour, hang out with friends, date night, and nice weather “chill” spot. Does that cover too much?! Seriously though, this place is great for it all. With the nicer weather recently, we have personally been taking advantage of Treadwell Park’s outdoor seating (on the sidewalk of 1st Avenue and 62nd Street!) complete with wooden benches, communal tables, and tea lights hanging right above your head for that perfect extra touch. It’s almost like a beer hall, meets sports bar, meets game room; you can’t go wrong by spending your Friday night here, or any other day for that matter. Order a drink (they are known for their extensive craft beer list) and grab a ping-pong table in the back to add to the fun! They also have pinball machines, trivia, and table games to keep your night entertaining. Our favorite part about Treadwell is the free popcorn machine (of course!), and their food is actually really good too! Make sure to order one of their giant soft pretzels that comes with cheese dip, caraway seeds, smoked paprika, and horseradish mustard. Don’t be fooled by their choice of words, because this pretzel is literally ginormous! The bigger the better, right? Well, this pretzel is delicious and the perfect addition to any drink you have in hand; 3 to 4 people can easily share 1 pretzel. If you’re looking to eat dinner or even brunch here, the cheeseburger is a must! As the night goes on it will definitely get more crowded, so make sure to reserve your spots early and enjoy!

Saturday Day:

Spoke Art Gallery:Spoke Art Gallery is currently hosting “What Goes On?”,a solo exhibition by a Tokyo-based Australian artist, Mark Drew, that will be open to the public until May 26th. Be prepared for fun photo opp’s in front of the giant dog house recreated to look exactly like Snoopy’s from the popular 90s hit TV series, Charlie Brown! There are also comic book-like paintings that combine more of the characters from the Peanuts gang. If you can walk out without humming the piano theme song to yourself, we give you major props!

JTT Gallery:Borna Sammak, a young New York-based artist, creates sculptures, paintings, and photographs that promise to keep your eyes moving! Right now, you can see his pieces for yourself at another solo exhibition, featured at the JTT gallery through June 17th on the Lower East Side. Just a 12-minute walk from Spoke Art Gallery, JTT Gallery has super funky pieces, like the current main attraction, which is a black and white striped couch. It’s not just your ordinary couch; this one has different levels and multiple layers. Sometimes Saturday’s call for a lazy day on the couch, so why not lounge here where you can look super cool doing it?

Morgenstern’s:At last, time for an ice cream break! Feeling a little tired from the day? We have the perfect solution. Take a 2-minute walkto Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream! Morgenstern’s has hand-developed this flavor, Nespresso Double Espresso, which has a bold, creamy taste with a smooth but rich textureWe first decided to go simple, with a single scoop of Nespresso Double Espresso in a cone, but soon got #foodenvywatching everyone eat the Double Nespresso Deluxe Ice Cream Sundae and had to try it! Saturday Night:

Broken Shaker:Let’s shake up your normal Saturday night and head to The Freehand Hotelin Flatiron! We have actually been to the Broken Shaker in Miami, so when we heard that it was coming to New York, we knew we had to add it to our agenda immediately! The Freehand managed to bring a little bit of Miami to Manhattan, plus an added bonus skyline view of the Empire State Building. There is indoor and outdoor seating, with 2 bars on each side mixing up the perfect blend of syrups, infusions, fresh-pressed juices, and exotic ingredients. All of the drinks have a prominent tropical flair that will put you in the ultimate vacation mode!

Both are topped off with matcha and sparkling water to create that perfect mix of sweet and tangy! They even have matcha and pink coconut soft serve, matcha shots, and charcoal lattes. Don’t forget about the array of rainbow cookies from Zola Bakesand the unicorn printed macaroons from Dana’s Bakery. You can’t miss the awesome neon colored drips that hang from the shelves by artist,Dan Lam, which also make for the best and brightest background to your photos!
